Magnolia Longarm Quilting by Mechelle Armstrong is a quilting business located conveniently just off of Hughes Road in Madison, AL. I specialize in Custom and Edge-to-Edge quilting using the latest technology of the Gammill Optimum Quilting Machine with Statler Stitcher. Over 1000 digitized quilting designs to compliment the style of your quilt top are available, as well as a large variety of quilting threads and quilt batting options. I also make T-Shirt Quilts and offer Quilt Binding, Basting, and Piecing Services. A selection of Wide Quilt Backing Fabric is also available.
At Magnolia Longarm Quilting I pay attention to detail. From storing your quilt in a safe place to every detail of longarm quilting your quilt I promise to treat your quilt as if it were my own.
Once quilting on the long arm machine is finished you may choose to have me apply binding; otherwise your quilt will be nicely trimmed on all sides 1/2 inch beyond the edge of the quilt top unless you request it not be trimmed. Every effort will be made to deliver your finished quilt within the promised time frame.
Edge-to-Edge Quilting Fees begin at 2.0 cents per square inch and increase depending on the density and complexity of the quilting design.
Edge-to-Edge minimum is $72.
Custom Quilting Fees begin at 5 cents per square inch and increase depending on the quilting design. Custom Quilting minimum is $200.
T-Shirt Quilts can be made from your favorite T-shirts. All you need to provide is freshly washed T-shirts and Magnolia Longarm Quilting will piece the quilt top, quilt it and bind it. Contact me for more details and pricing.
Thread Fee for Edge-to-Edge quilting is $10; for Custom Quilting is $15. A large selection of thread colors and brands are available.
Quality Batting is available at a competitive price or you may provide your own batting. A variety of batting options are available to choose from.
Pieced Backing Fee is $20 and will be added when the backing has more than 3 seams.
Binding Fee is 45 cents per linear inch to machine stitch binding on the quilt front and hand stitch on the back. Binding fabric at least 12 inches longer than the perimeter of the quilt top must be provided by you along with the quilt top and backing. Contact me for pricing on other binding options.
Quilt Preparation - Customers must provide pieced quilt tops with seams pressed as flat as possible. Additional preparation such as pressing, lint rolling, thread clipping, seaming backing, squaring backing, etc. will be done by me only at the customer's request. Please inquire about fees for these services.
Additionally, it is the customer's responsibility to be certain fabrics are colorfast and will not bleed onto other fabrics. All customers must agree that Magnolia Longarm Quilting and owners will not be held responsible for quilt fabric that is not colorfast and for any resulting color transfer to other fabrics that may occur during the quilting process..
